The Sindh Government has sought the Federal investigation Agency's help in curbing misinformation about the spread of coronavirus in Pakistan.

In a letter to the interior ministry, the Sindh government has pointed out that while the total number of cases in Pakistan is five, misinformation about scores of people being tested positive for coronavirus at private hospitals is being spread through social media.

Only on Tuesday, a fake circular from the interior ministry made rounds on social media announcing closure of all government and private institutions for next two weeks as a precautionary measure.
