LAHORE: Three youngsters were killed while six other injured in two incidents in the city on Sunday.

Friends identified as Imran, 12, Arsalan Ahmad and Akhtar were going somewhere by a motorcycle when it collided with a truck near Pir Makki. The motorcyclists lost their balance and fell down. The injured were taken to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced them dead.

Police removed the bodies to the morgue for autopsy, collected forensic evidence from crime scene and recorded statements of the eyewitnesses. Later, police registered a case against the driver.In another incident, six people were injured in a road accident on Raiwind Road on Sunday. The accident took place after a bus collided with a trawler near Chanar Bagh. A team of the Rescue 1122 responded to the accident and shifted them to hospital for treatment.

SHOT DEAD: A man was killed by robbers in Defence-B on Sunday.

Police said Khalid was asleep in his house when three armed men barged into his house and tried to loot valuables. He put up resistance over which robbers shot at and injured him. The injured was taken to hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.

ARRESTED: Police claimed on Sunday to have arrested a suspect involved in aerial firing and uploading the video on social media and also recovered weapon.

Abu Bakar of Misri Shah had resorted to aerial firing and posted its video on social media websites. Police took notice of the video and arrested the suspect after registration of a case against him and also recovered a pistol and bullets from his custody.
