BUNER: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz provincial president Engineer Amir Muqam has said the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf is a national security threat.

He also criticised Prime Minister Imran Khan for making U-turns on national and foreign policy issues and said the world leadership didn’t trust the Pakistani premier.

The PML-N leader was speaking to reporters at the Chanar House here after inquiring after party district president Sarzamin Khan’s son Haji Kamran Khan, who survived a road accident.

Mr Muqam said the premier wasn’t a man of commitment.

He said the prime minister deceived Malaysia, Pakistan’s most trusted friendly country, after receiving a phone call from the Saudi crown prince.

The PML-N leader said the premier issued false statements, made false claims and levelled false accusations.

He said the government was bent on victimising and harassing political opponents, especially Sharifs and other PML-N leaders Ishaq Dar, Saad Rafiq, Ihsan Iqbal, Shahid Khaqan Abbasi and him.

PML-N claims govt’s days numbered

Mr Muqam said the PTI government had caused serious political and economic crises.

He said the prime minister and his ministers weren’t on the same page on policy issues.

The PML-N leader said the ruling PTI had obtained huge foreign loans with the common man bearing the brunt, while the rulers were making money by exploiting the poor people’s interests.

He flayed the ‘artificial’ flour and sugar crises and the growing gas and petrol prices.

Mr Muqam also criticised the government for devaluing rupee, ‘threatening’ national integrity and sovereignty, rendering hundreds of thousands of people jobless, and increasing the costs of education and healthcare.

He said the days of the PTI in power had been numbered.

The PML-N leader said the Punjab political dispensation was set to change to be followed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and federal governments.
