GHALANAI: Inspector General of Police Sanaullah Abbasi said on Thursday that all personnel of the Levies and Khasadar forces, which had been merged into Khyber Pakhtunkhwa police, would get equal incentives.

He was speaking at a function held at the Jirga Hall in Ekkaghund here.

DIG Mardan Sher Akbar Khan, deputy commissioner, Mohmand, Iftikhar Alam, district police officer Fazal Ahmad Jan and other police officials were present on the occasion.

The IGP said that the Levies and Khassadar forces were now part of the KP police and they would get privileges equal to that of the police.

He said that the police and tribesmen had rendered great sacrifices for the restoration of peace in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and they would continue their efforts for maintenance of peace.

He asked the police officials to perform their duties taking due regard of the local culture and norms.

He said that funds had been released for construction of police stations in tribal districts and in this regard land acquisition had been made.

The IGP assured the officials that he would provide them all facilities and resolve their genuine problems on priority.
