THIS refers to the letter ‘Number plates’ (Jan 11). In fact, so many letters have appeared in these columns that had it been some other country the officials concerned would have been fired by now.
The letters refer to cars purchased in January 2017 and immediately thereafter for which Sindh excise and taxation department collected all the dues from car owners but did not issue permanent number plates on the plea that the contractor had not supplied them yet.
How come these number plates could not be procured in three years whereas new plates have been issued to all vehicles?
The writer has suggested we get a letter from the Sindh excise and taxation department. This does not seem to be an easy option. Must you waste your time to get your due?
