GUJRAT: Two young workers of a local hotel were found dead in a room near GTS Chowk on Sunday.

Reports said employees Mubashar who belonged to Lange Khoje village and Shaukat (Lal Pindi village) had slept in a room of the hotel but did not get up according to routine. The hotel management checked their room where both were found dead.

Police shifted the bodies to the Aziz Bhatti Shaheed Teaching Hospital where doctors conducted their autopsy. They said the hotel owner and some other staff had been taken into custody for investigation. A spokesman for the Gujrat police told Dawn that police had also collected some evidence from the crime scene.Another official said there was no gas or electric heater in the room.
