PESHAWAR: Two recently-inducted ministers were sworn-in at a ceremony held at the Governor House here on Wednesday.

Chief Minister Mahmood Khan had inducted Iqbal Wazir and Malik Shah Mohammad into his cabinet on Saturday.

Mr Wazir, who hails from North Waziristan tribal district, has been given the portfolio of relief and rehabilitation, while Mr Shah would oversee the transport department, which he had also held in the previous cabinet of Pervaiz Khattak.

A statement issued here said that Governor Shah Farman administered the oath to the ministers. Chief Minister Mehmood Khan, Speaker KP Assembly Mushtaq Ghani, provincial ministers, advisers and special assistants, the chief secretary and other senior officials were also in attendance.

Also on Wednesday, the recently-appointed police chief Sanaullah Abbasi met Governor Shah Farman and discussed with him matters pertaining to overall security situation in the province.
