As the clock struck midnight, foodpanda released multiple sky lanterns in the air when the rest of the city was lighting traditional fireworks.

As symbols of hope and positivity, foodpanda's paper-made lanterns aimed to encourage people to move towards more peaceful ways of celebration.

Seeing the Karachi skyline lit up with floating lanterns instead of smoke came as a relief from the clamorous activities Pakistan experiences on most New Year eves.

In a bid to welcome the new decade, foodpanda is bringing in exciting discount offers on more than 6000 eateries which are sure to keep foodies satisfied.
