LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Begum Mehnaz Rafi has questioned the police performance in Punjab asking why no attention is being paid to heinous crime against children in Kasur after Zainab case.

“Police and bureaucracy do not seem to work for the welfare of the people. It appears that both police and bureaucrats are not cooperating with the Punjab government,” she said and condemned the murder of three minor children in Kasur.

She told Dawn on Wednesday lawmakers should also come out in field and discharge their responsibilities as they should not look up to Prime Minister Imran Khan to do every one’s job. She said the people’s lives had become miserable because of price hike and inflation but those responsible for controlling prices of daily use commodities were not performing their duties.
