Road or racing track?

Published September 18, 2019

I AM a resident of DHA phase VIII which happens to be one of the most developed and posh areas of Karachi. There car racing has become a nuisance, making life difficult for us.

There has been a major increase in the number of car accidents in the last few months and a police report suggests that 90 per cent of the drivers are under-age and without a licence.

These untrained drivers hold a car race on the main Khayaban-i-Shaheen phase VIII which has seen many deadly accidents in the recent past.

Police should take action to stop these teenagers from bringing cars on main roads for races, while parents should be asked to keep an eye on their children and stop giving their cars to them.
