DERA GHAZI KHAN: The district health authority has shifted a suspected Congo fever patient to the Nishtar Hospital, Multan, for proper diagnosis and treatment.

According to DHA Chief Executive Officer Dr Khalil Ahmed Sikhani, the local health officials got information about the patient, Ahmad Bukhsh, a resident of Murtaza Town, Taunsa Sharif, who was suspected of having Congo fever.

Dr Sikhani said that on being informed, he along with a team of doctors visited the suspected patient at his house and ordered shifting him to the Nishtar Hospital, Multan, for proper diagnosis and treatment.

He said the relatives and others who had been in physical contact with the suspected Congo patient had been marked and were being provided necessary precautionary medical treatment.
