KARACHI: The weather will remain cloudy with chances of drizzle/light rain in the next 24 hours, the Meteorological department said on Thursday.

It rejected reports on social media suggesting that an intense weather system would grip Karachi on Thursday and Friday, and said “No severe weather system is likely to affect Karachi during this period”.

The minimum and maximum temperatures recorded on Thursday were 27 and 31.5 degrees Celsius, respectively, with high humidity ranging between 85 per cent in the morning and 81pc in the evening.

Scattered rain of moderate intensity with isolated falls is also expected in Mirpurkhas, Thatta, Hyderabad and Sanghar districts.
