ISLAMABAD: A delegation of British-Pakistani businesspeople and philanthropists called on National Assembly Speaker Asad Qaiser at Parliament House on Saturday.

Former air chief Sohail Aman was also present, representing the Rashid Memorial Welfare Trust with other senior members.

During the meeting, the delegation was informed of the speaker’s initiative and the trust, and possible future collaboration prospects were discussed at length.

The meeting also discussed Pakistan Welfare Towns (PWT), an endeavour that seeks to provide health, education and recreational facilities to marginalised communities under one roof.

The project is a collaboration between the government and a charity organisation, with the government acting as a facilitator.

The delegation praised the PWT members and Aneel Mussarat and other delegation members expressed an interest in contributing to the project, which is spearheaded by Mr Qaiser.
