LAHORE: Pakistan set up a last-four clash with traditional rivals India in the West Asia Baseball Cup after chalking up convincing victories against Bangladesh and Irfan in Colombo on Tuesday.

Late on Monday night, Pakistan annihilated Iran 11-1 in their opening fixture before trouncing Bangladesh 17-0 on Tuesday, according to details provided by the Pakistan Federation Baseball.

In the Bangladesh fixture, Obaidullah, Mohammad Abdullah, Mohammad Amin, Arsalan, Asad, Sadiq Afridi and Fazal scored two runs apiece with Mohammad Rafi, Sameer Zawar and Umair chipped in with one each.

Obaidullah scored thrice against Iran while Faqir Hussain, Zakir Afridi and Sumair Zawar contributed two runs apiece followed by one each from Arsalan Jam­shed and Muhammad Rafi.

Farahi scored Irfan’s solitary run.

Hosts Sri Lanka and Pakistan have both maintained unbeaten run in the six-team tournament. Sri Lanka defeated India 2-1 on Monday before thrashing Nepal 18-0 on Tuesday
