LAHORE: The National Accountability Bureau (NAB) on Friday quizzed both Sharif brothers in different investigations.

After grilling PML-N President Shahbaz Sharif in income beyond means case for about 90 minutes at the bureau’s provincial headquarters at Thokar Niaz Beg, the anti-graft body summoned him in the Lahore Waste Management scam for July 12.

Shahbaz who has been on bail in the Ashiana-i-Iqbal Housing Scheme and Ramzan Sugar Mills cases since this February, had told a private TV channel that he might be arrested on his appearance.

The NAB sought details of inheritance received from his father Mian Muhammad Sharif, assets owned by spouses, foreign remittances and other information about his assets.

The NAB also summoned him for July 12 in the Lahore Waste Management scam.

Separately, a NAB team visited former prime minister Nawaz Sharif at the Kot Lakhpat jail where he is serving a seven-year imprisonment in the Alazizia Mills case.

It recorded his statement regarding alleged misuse of bullet-proof vehicles purchased for a conference of the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (Saarc) during his stint as premier.

These vehicles were allegedly used by Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz, according to NAB.
