Physician seeks permission for Nawaz’s checkup

LAHORE: Former premier Nawaz Sharif’s personal physician Dr Adnan Khan has written to the Punjab government seeking permission to meet him for his medical checkup at the Kot Lakhpat jail.

“Mian Nawaz Sharif requires constant medical care due to significant critical and complicated heart disease and co-morbidities. I have requested the Punjab government and relevant authorities to kindly allow access to Mr Sharif at the earliest & on regular basis for medical consultation,” Dr Khan said in a tweet.

Maryam Nawaz also said her father had ‘persistent angina pain’. Mr Sharif is serving a seven-year-imprisonment in Al-Azizia case.

He is 69 years old and has heart and kidney problems from obesity and diabetes. He has had a good life and ate well. Of course there is the chance he could die before he serves out is prison sentence. He probably is eating healthier today.

He wasted a generous six week vacation, he deserves no more time on bail, keep him in jail. All these ailments are normal for a man his age and health. If he dies in jail, no worries, qismat!

Checks and more medical checks are planned, but no hospital treatments for Nawaz Sharif - what a joke, a patient tells doctors what to do to get him out of jail. Exaggerated, fake and fabricated medical reports have previously been submitted in the past to fool courts - this time similar tactics will again be applied to influence courts.

@Alba, He looted 35 years, and enjoyed on public expense, now if not 35, he should spend at least half of this enjoyment in jail, or he should return $35 Billion to go back to free life, its very small amount for freedom.
