AGRICULTURE is a major source of living for the people of South Waziristan Agency. The region remained a conflict zone for more than a decade where several military operations against terrorists have been conducted.

But now, when the government says that the people are safe and secure, they need some basic infrastructure.

Wana is famous for producing fruits and vegetables but it faces problems like lack of water, soil erosions, and deforestation.

These problems contribute to unemployment, post-conflict settlement and resettlement. There is no government institution to protect the green environment.
