SUKKUR: A man killed his young wife and a neighbour over suspicions they had developed illicit relations with each other at Koreja Shakh locality in Osta Bhalay Dino Abad within the jurisdiction of Mauladad police station in Jacobabad on Friday.

Police said that Farzand Ali Gulwani Jakhrani first killed his young wife Izzat Khatoon, 20, and then gunned down his neighbour Zahoor Ahmed Sargani Jakhrani with a Kalashnikov. He suspected his wife had had extramarital affair with the man, according to area people.

Police took the bodies into custody and shifted them to Jacobabad Civil Hospital for conduct of post-mortem examination after which the bodies were handed over to relatives.

Police had not yet registered the double murder case.
