KARACHI: A man was electrocuted while repairing a live wire in New Karachi on Friday.

Rescue officials said 35-year-old Raheel, son of Ismail, received a severe electric shock when he was repairing some live wires in Kaneez Fatima Society.

He suffered severe injuries and died on the spot. The body was taken to the Abbasi Shaheed Hospital for medico-legal formalities.

Gas cylinder explosion injures two

Two people were injured in a gas cylinder explosion in the Solider Bazaar area on Friday.

Rescue officials said the cylinder exploded due to gas leakage in a shop in Solider Bazaar in which 27-year-old Shaukat and 30-year-old Walayat sustained serious burn injuries.
