QUETTA: Three people, including a tribal elder, were killed when a blast ripped through their vehicle in Qilla Abdullah district on Wednesday.

According to Levies sources, veteran tribal leader Wali Mohammad Ghebzai aka Pehalwan was travelling with his two companions when the explosion hit their vehicle in the Gulistan area.

“Wali Mohammad Ghebzai, Taj Mohammad and Mohammad Essa were killed on the spot as a result of the explosion,” Levies force said.

A heavy contingent of law enforcement agencies and rescue workers rushed to the spot and shifted the bodies to the DHQ hospital for autopsy.

The district administration didn’t say whether the attack occurred due to enmity or it was a terrorist act.

“Wali Ghebzai was going home when his vehicle was targeted,” said Assistant Commissioner Jahanzaib Sheikh.
