MULTAN: Nishtar Medical University Pro-Vice Chancellor and hospital’s Cancer Department head Prof Dr Ijaz Masood was injured in an attack here on Saturday.

As per initial reports, Dr Masood along with his two friends was returning from Lohari Gate when two unidentified motorists opened fire and escaped. Dr Masood received two bullets in his leg and was shifted to the Nishtar Hospital.

Hospital sources confirmed that Dr Masood was out of danger. Police were waiting for a written complaint from Dr Masood to lodge an FIR.
