THIS refers to awful condition of Mubarak Shaheed Road, which links Saint Patrick’s College and Army Public School to Sharea Faisal. There are many important locations in its surroundings like Karachi police office, army houses and the cantonment general hospital.

In the morning, one finds water on both sides of the road. This is not only a nuisance for pedestrians, but also a sheer waste of water.

By night, water looks like filthy sewage and there is foul smell. There are manholes which are open. The broken gutters add to the misery of the people. Accidents occur owing to these open gutters.

The authorities concerned should repair the road, and stop water and sewer from overflowing on to the road.
