GUJAR KHAN: A 25-year-old man was killed in an armed robbery late Monday night.

Nazakat Hussain had just closed his shop on Bhangreel Road, in front of a police check post in Rawat.

He was confronted by three armed men who demanded he hand over the cash he had on him.

They opened fire at him when he offered resistance and escaped on a motorbike.

Residents of Bhangreel Village put the body on G.T Road and blocked it for four hours till noon.

Police officials including Assistant Superintendent of Police Umar Khan negotiated with the villagers after which they dispersed.
