SAHIWAL: Anti-Terrorism Court Judge Shabbir Hussain Awan has granted 15-day physical remand of the six officials of the Counter Terrorism Department involved in Sahiwal killings.

The suspects were finally presented before the Anti-Terrorism Court three weeks after the incident.

DSP Falaksher, one of the members of the Joint Investigation Team (JIT), and other policemen brought the suspects to court. There was heightened security in Farid Town.

Those presented in the ATC were Safdar Hussain, Sub Inspector, CTD, Nasir Nawaz, Ahsan Khan, Ramzan, Saifullah Abid and Hasnain Akbar.

A source said JIT head Ijaz Shah also met Jalil and his family in Lahore during the past week and sought cooperation. He assured them that justice would be done.

Jalil told Dawn that the family wanted a judicial commission to probe the case.
