MUZAFFARABAD: Three Indian soldiers were killed and two others injured when Pakistani troops responded to India’s “unprovoked” shelling from across the Line of Control (LoC), the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said on Friday.
On Thursday, 50-year-old Mohammad Mushtaq was injured in Tain village of Khuiratta sector in indiscriminate Indian firing which continued for several hours.
“Indian troops initiated unprovoked firing in the Khuiratta and Kotkhetera sectors along the LoC, targeting civilian population,” the ISPR said in a brief statement issued on Friday.
It said that Pakistani troops responded effectively, targeting Indian posts from where fire was coming and added that there were confirmed reports that three Indian soldiers were killed and another two were injured. Besides, damage was caused to the Indian post.

Who violates is well known, and who gives befitting reply and why it happens its also well known..
India borders with China, Nepal, Myanmar, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Pakistan, and the unprovoked firing happens only on Pakistan side. China intruded many times, but without any incident.
Destroy the post firing on civilians
Unprovoked firing by India leads to only civilian injuries and casualties, and who is going to believe.
Modi will leave no stone un-turned in implementing his 3-pronged strategy for 2019 elections. i.e 1-Cow slaughter 2-Ayodhya(Ram Mander) 3-Anti-Pakistan flare.
Obviously he's trying to hide his failed promises behind these petty issues. indian voter will decide Modi's fate now. Things are not looking good for him so far.
Out of the last six opinion polls done in india, five of them are projecting a hung parliament this time. CNX survey is showing BJP at 211 lok sabha seats as compared to 282 in 2014 elections.
@Vinod, I believe in Pakistani media more than Indian media.
RIP soldiers be it Indo or Pak very sad. This has to end. Narendra butcher of Gujarat and Kashmir substandard person with full of blood on his hands.
@Vinod, the names LL be Kohli n Sharma n Kumar...
Pakistan's message is now understood loud and clear by the Indians: the price of killing one innocent civilian is three of your soldiers.
Pakistan knows how to respond to madness. You hit civilians, you pay a very painful price.
@Gordon D. Walker, Are you related to sky walker ?
@Vinod, so you indians can only cooked up the whole Surgical strike cartoon. Grow up boy..
It makes no sense from a smaller country to provoke the self labelled super power. Indias agression must be delt with. Well done Pak army.
@Vinod, : You know the names, we are just counting bodies of those who target innocent citizen without any prejudice. Lesson must be taught here and next time you will think twice.
24 hour live camera on LoC for world to see should help solve some of these problems. This should be easy and very cost effective. No one would be able to blame who is firing first.
Every action has an equal and opposite reaction! bully us and we’ll teach you lessons!
3 Indian Soldiers killed in Pakistan? What were they doing in Pakistan?
The Indians shelling is unprovoked in Pakistani eyes while the Pakistani shelling is unprovoked in Indian eyes. So why not stop this inane wastage of resources and lives. Its the Kashmiri people living along both sides of the LOC who're suffering. Sad! Sad! Sad!
@Gordon D. Walker, . . . .. Give is a break.
@Suraj71, Pakistan is always ready for you lot.!!
Indian army is not professional army. They are threat to the peace of continent. No professional army of the world opens fire on the civilians. Permenant effective response must be initiated by Pak army to avoid this thing in the future.
@Sameer, read the article properly. They died in Pakistans reply.
Since morning no such news by any Indian TV channel who keep a hawk eye on such happenings.
