Pakistan retain 15-member squad for T20I series against New Zealand

Top-ranked Pakistan have retained the same 15-member squad that swept Australia 3-0 for the upcoming three-match Twenty20 series against New Zealand.

The series begins in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates on Wednesday with Dubai hosting the subsequent games Friday and Sunday.

The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) said in a statement on Monday that the selection committee, headed by Inzamam-ul-Haq, consulted captain Sarfraz Ahmed and coach Mickey Arthur before retaining the same squad.

Under Sarfraz's leadership, Pakistan has won 10 consecutive Twenty20 series beginning with the 1-0 win over England in 2016.

Uncapped left-arm fast bowler Waqas Masood is yet to make his international debut. He was the only player in the squad not to get a start against Australia.

@Afridi , couldn't get a game for Qalandars so how do you expect him to play for Pakistan? Needs to perform in domestic, get wickets in PSL4 and then we can talk about him in Pakistan national side.

@Salman Shafraz has given Pakistan more success then many others. T20 success is unbeatable by any current International team or current captains around the world. So weather you like or not, Shafraz ways are actually working at currently 100% in T20. In ODI he has 50%-50% ratio and in tests his team is climbing the ranking. Why complain when you are winning? Get a life please.

When I asked where is Irshad, the 22 y.o., currently the fastest bowler in Pakistan? I had meant to ask that I do not even see his name in any of the domestic cricket teams that are currently playing. Is he injured, is he overseas, playing club cricket in Australia like he did last year? He was pretty impressive and really fast at 145-150 kph and yet is only 22 y.o.
