LAHORE: Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) came from behind to beat Baloch FC 3-1 as two more matches were decided in the Pakistan Premier Football League at the Punjab Stadium here on Tuesday.

Baloch FC took the lead through Their Ali Khan in the 44th but SSGC went into half-time on an even keel when Habib-ur-Rehman levelled matters in the very next minute.

Mohammad Lal put SSGC ahead in the 63rd before securing the win 13 minutes later.

The day’s other game saw Sui Northern Gas Pipelines (SNGPL) play out a goalless draw against Muslim FC.

The current edition of the PPFL, the first after three years due to turmoil in the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), is featuring 16 teams after four teams including SSGC and SNGPL were promoted via a sudden playoff before the start of the season — a move that is a contravention of the FIFA Statutes that call for proper system of promotion and relegation between league tiers.
