SHIKARPUR: Unknown intruders climbed a wall of the Primary Boys School in the small town of Humayoon and destroyed record of the institution by torching it before fleeing the premises, the Humayoon police was told on Monday.

The police recorded statements of the school’s watchman and started investigation.

A teacher, Mohammed Umar Sadhayo, told the police that the wooden almirah, in which the record and educational material were kept locked, was found burnt to ashes when he arrived on duty on Monday morning.

Preliminary investigation suggested that the culprits used a wall to get into the school some time on Sunday night, broke the almirah’s lock to take the record out and set it on fire. They then also torched the almirah and fled.
