I AM writing on behalf of the students of Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences BS biomedical engineering (2013 batch). We graduated in April last year and we are still waiting for our engineering degree to get accredited by the Pakistan Engineering Council in order for us to become recognised engineers.

We have been suffering for more than a year and been unable to apply for jobs and for further education abroad as the PEC accreditation is a basic requirement.

According to the 2016 Higher Education Commission policies, we need PEC accreditation before the HEC attests our documents. We are all facing a lot of difficulty and if nothing is done now, future students and graduates will face similar issues.
