FAISALABAD: Villagers staged a demonstration against the doctors of the Jaranwala Tehsil Headquarters Hospital for their alleged negligence that led to the death of a man on Thursday.

Agitators placed the body of Mansoor Hussain, of Chak 236-GB, outside the hospital gate and chanted slogans against doctors.

They told reporters that Mansoor was brought to the hospital emergency where doctors instead of giving him immediate treatment asked the family to first get the registration slip. They said doctors were busy taking tea at that time and the precious time was lost.

They said Hussain had a complaint of stomach pain.

Seeing the mob in rage, doctors and paramedics left the premises to avoid any eventuality. Duty doctors said the man suffered a heart attack which led to his death. They said it was wrong that the man was not treated timely.
