TAXILA: Additional district and sessions judge Tahir Abbass Sipra on Tuesday sentenced two brothers to death and imposed a fine in a murder case.

According to prosecution, three brothers Qalub Abbass, Farhat Abbass and Naseem Abbass shot dead Mohammad Imran and injured five others including two women over a land dispute in Meera Kallan area on Sept 30, 2010.

Later, the police arrested the accused and after trial spanning over eight years, the murder was established and additional Session Judge Taxila Tahir Abbass sentenced the accused Qalub Abbass, Farhat Abbass to death and imposed a fine of Rs250,000 each on the accused.

Each accused would face ten years imprisonment for injuring five persons.

The third accused Naseem Abass died during trial.
