LAHORE: The PPP has begun to review its performance in the July 25 elections to sort out and fix the problems that led to its failure in the electoral bout in Punjab.

The process is likely to begin from Faisalabad district from where the party’s district and city organisations have been invited here on Saturday (today) in the first phase.

The party apparently has a good vote bank in the district, but it could not win any National or Punjab Assembly seat from there owing to, as insiders say, lack of cohesion among the local party cadre.

The sitting will be presided over by PPP Punjab President Qamar Zaman Kaira, while General Secretary Chaudhry Manzoor and Faisalabad division chief and MPA Syed Hassan Murtaza will also attend the meeting.
