PESHAWAR: The Muslim League has won all three bye-elections results. These were announced today [Aug 9]. The result of the fourth bye-election in the Frontier towns constituency will be announced tomorrow. Sardar Aurangzeb Khan, Premier, in an interview to the Associated Press said that the League was certain to capture the fourth Muslim seat as well.

Commenting on the result of the bye-election, the Premier declared that it was the first contest between the Muslim League and the Congress over the issue of Pakistan and Akhand Hindustan, and the result had conclusively proved that the Muslims of the Frontier Province were in favour of Pakistan. He added that the League Ministry was like an unconquerable rock and their strength and unity was unshakable.

As soon as the result of the Peshawar City bye-election was announced, a huge procession of the Muslim League came to the Secretariat, where the Premier and other ministers were garlanded.
