Expatriate Pakistanis hoping to cast a ballot will not be able to do so for the general elections 2018.
Please be wary of posts such as the one below which are fake.
Though the ECP had made attempts to make the provision and develop a system for this year's elections, it had informed the Supreme Court in June that it is a huge undertaking and not possible for this time around.
Though the chief justice (self-admittedly) strongly desired that expatriates could take part in the voting process, he conceded that it was not practical to introduce a system for this election, and that "it would do more harm than good."
The case (regarding voting being made possible for expatriates) will next be heard at an unspecified future date.

Strange that even in 5 years a simple software and a mechanism could not be made. Was it because most of expats were likely to vote for Imran?

I really hope PTI comes to power and fix this for the next election. Millions of Pakistanis around the world would love to be a part of the governance process. It affects them directly.
