PESHAWAR: The capital city police on Sunday observed a flag march in wake of the deteriorating security situation in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

The flag march was led by Capital City Police Officer Qazi Jamil-ur-Rehman.

SSP operations Javed Iqbal, SP city Kokab Farooq, officials of the bomb disposal squared, special combat unit, rapid response force, elite force and anti-terrorism squad also participated.

Talking to mediapersons, the CCPO said that police force was ready to handle any untoward incident. He further said that 10 more checkposts would be established in the provincial capital to enhance the security.

“No one will be allowed to disrupt peace of the city,” he said and appealed to the citizens to be cooperative with the police deputed on the checkposts across the city.
