PESHAWAR: Pakistan Peoples Party chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari visited Bilour House here on Friday to express condolences to the family of Awami National Party’s slain leader Haroon Bilour.

Bilawal, who also lost his mother to a terrorist attack in 2007, embraced Haroon Bilour’s young son, Daniyal Bilour to console him as they both shared the same pain and loss, said a statement issued by the PPP media cell after the visit late Friday evening.

The short visit was delayed due to Bilawal’s inability to board the plane because of the political upheaval caused by return of PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif and his daughter at the Lahore airport.

“I have come to condole and not make any political statement right now,” said Bilawal as he arrived and went away shortly after he paid condolences to the grieving family.

Meanwhile, an ANP press statement issued from Bacha Khan Markaz on Friday said the Bilour family held ‘Soyyam’ of Harron Bilour and Quran Khwani. Prayers were offered for those who died in the suicide attack.
