We know this isn't directly election election? But hey, we are DELIGHTED. Caretaker Sindh Chief Minister Fazal-ur-Rahman has directed the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation and other local bodies to ensure proper cleanliness and provision of necessary facilities in Karachi's areas where polling stations will be set up.
The CM was talking to Karachi Mayor Wasim Akhtar. He said he'd already directed local bodies to keep their respective areas clean and get all roads and drainage systems repaired so that people could reach polling stations to cast their votes without any problem.
He said most Karachi roads had been reconstructed, but in some streets and lanes there were overflowing gutters and potholes.
“I want all these dilapidated roads and gutters fixed before polling day,” the caretaker CM said and added that the caretaker set-up wanted to ensure that there was a good atmosphere everywhere in the province on polling day (Amen to that!).
Thank you Caretaker CM sahab! After all, it really has been a long time since we last saw Karachi clean.
