Sheikh Rashid, who quite exuberantly described himself as "one of the Pindi boyz" outside the Supreme Court today, has been let off the hook in an asset misdeclaration case filed against him by a Noon League-r.

A three-member bench of the apex court, comprising Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed, Justice Qazi Faez Isa and Justice Sajjad Ali Shah, turned down a petition filed by Malik Shakeel Awan, who had accused Rashid of misdeclaring his assets in the nomination forms he submitted for the 2013 elections.

With his path to general elections 2018 now clear of hurdles, Sheikh Rashid has vowed to go after the brothers Sharif ("Nawaz Sharif, mai aa raha huun! Shahbaz Sharif, mai aa raha huun!") in what promises to be a continuation of his politics of provocation.

The rangeen politician has also announced that he will be holding rallies soon in the two National Assembly constituencies he's standing for.
