FAW hands over 10 new FAW J5P-360 oil tankers to Pakistan State Oil contractors

According to FAW, 50 more oil tankers would be handed over to PSO contractors in near future.

FAW, one of China's largest automobile manufacturer, recently handed over ten FAW J5P-360 oil tankers to contractors of Pakistan State Oil (PSO).

The event was attended by dignitaries including Senator Taj Afridi, Sheikh Imranul Haque MD and CEO of PSO, and Mr Nian Haoyu from FAW Pakistan. 470 PSO carriage contractors and representatives from China FAW Group and Al Haj FAW Pakistan also attended the ceremony.

In view of PSO’s urgent need of upgrading its gas and oil transportation fleet, FAW provided its customised J5P, a reformative vehicle with 28 configurations, built in compliance with the Oil & Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) and National Highways Authority (NHA) standards.

“PSO is glad to partner with FAW to ensure implementation of OGRA and NHA standards in the transportation of petroleum products," said Mr Sheikh Imranul Haque, the MD and CEO of PSO. "The induction of new tank lorries will not only enhance PSO’s capacity to transport more fuel, but will also prepare us to fulfill the country’s increasing fuel needs in wake of new business opportunities emerging from mega projects like CPEC.”

According to FAW, the engine power of these tankers has been enhanced from 330Hp to 360Hp, and the tankers also come with a 36-months deferred payment option, and a quality guarantee of two-years or 120,000 kms.
