Former president Asif Ali Zardari said on Wednesday that a truce with Nawaz Sharif was not possible under any circumstances.
Addressing a rally in Garhi Khuda Bux on the occasion of Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto's 39th death anniversary, PPP-Parliamentarians President Zardari said, "I am aware of Mian Sahab's ability. He is part of the opposition and the government simultaneously, but he isn't willing to accept the election of his returning officers (ROs)."
He said, "Supporting Raza Rabbani for the slot of Senate chairman was a political move by Nawaz Sharif. It was fortunate that Raza Rabbani stood with us," adding that Nawaz Sharif was not a politician and should leave politics. "People's party will ensure that he [Nawaz] leaves politics," he said.
Zardari continued by saying, "No matter what happens, a truce with Nawaz Sharif is not possible. The war will continue and it will be a long war. We will hold them accountable for the past 40 years. This time [during general elections] we shall appoint our own chief minister in Punjab no matter who we have to enter into an alliance with."
'People have no interest in who was ousted and why'
PPP Chairman Bilawal Bhutto Zardari whilst addressing the rally said, "Nawaz Sharif has been in the field of politics for 32 years while Imran Khan has been part of the political landscape for 22 years but even today both are fighting each other and pulling each other down to exert their own influence."
He claimed that "the foundation plans for CPEC were laid out by Zardari", whereas, "Nawaz Sharif is Ziaul Haq's successor."
"People have no interest in who was ousted and why. The people simply wish for a solution to their problems," Bilawal maintained.
Bilawal mentioned that People's Party had never fought with the court. "We respect our institutions and consider them part of our heritage."
He vowed that the party will fight against injustice, poverty, terrorism, and extremism.

In my opinion, Asif Zardari is playing double game, as my assessment is based on his previous record and hypocratic nature. AS like NS are cunning and corrupt politicans and cannot be trusted again - they had their chances and failed to deliver!

When the PPP talks about development and solving people's problems specially the greatest curse of corruption it is the biggest joke of the century. Both the PPP and PML(N) have had their multiple honeymoons of power. The Result is in front of everyone. In all sanity Pakistan needs a third political force. This totally new setup would have to prove itself and set up the pace in the first 6 months in power.
Pakistan needs to survive and the only path is the sudden death of the present political system.
May the People of Pakistan start thinking about their well being rather then supporting the corrupt politicians.

Zardari is right, if politics means lying, cheating and deceiving with a smiling face, then NS doesn't know how to do that. The only thing that NS finally had started doing was buying properties and for those too he got caught!!!!
He is also right that most likely Raza Rabbani ploy by NS was a stunt, but Zardari should've tested NS on that and given Raza Rabbani a chance and made NS a liar once NS didn't support the proposal. Zardari didn't do that, hence he can claim anything in this regards.
And young Bilawal is totally right. Zardari never fights with the courts. He gets rid of evidence even before it gets presented in the court. That way everything remains in order. Remember how our embassy staff were instrumental in removing evidence in a foreign country lest Zardari gets caught up in Swiss courts!!!

Both PPP and PML-N are corrupt to the core, but I will take the PPP anytime if the choice was only between these two. At least the PPP does not victimize it’s opponents and it’s contribution in terms of law making is better than others. PML-N is a dictator in civilian clothes and under the garb of democracy
