LAHORE: Two labourers died and three others injured when a fire broke out in a shoe factory at Batapur here on Friday.

The incident occurred near Rampura where fire fighters faced problems in accessing the site due to narrow streets and it took them four hours to extinguish the fire.

ACCIDENT: An elderly man and a minor boy were killed in a road accident on Ferozepur Road near Kahna on Friday.

Initial reports suggested the incident occurred when a tractor-trolley overturned while avoiding a cyclist who was coming from the opposite side. Sajid, 10, and cyclist Mukhtar Masih, 70, were run over by the tractor-trolley and died instantly.

The police handed over the bodies to the families after legal formalities.
