Pakistan women's cricket team coach Mark Coles has said there is no dearth of talent in the country and that with the right coaching, new prospects can be groomed and the ranking of the team improved.

Talking to the media, Mark Coles stated that he was very happy to be the coach of the women's cricket team, adding that he was trying his best to prepare them well for the upcoming tour of Sri Lanka.

Responding to a media query, he said that there was a need to focus more on fielding and batting. The coach was confident that the team's performance and ranking would improve in the coming months.

Shahid Aslam, a senior official of the team, also informed the media that Pakistan Cricket Board was introducing a five-year plan to promote women's cricket nationwide.

He said that women's cricket would be introduced at school and college levels and hoped that such steps would bring much-needed improvement in the growth of women's cricket in Pakistan.
