Work begins on Rawat hospital

RAWALPINDI: Work is underway on the 100-bed Tehsil Headquarters Hospital in Rawat, Rawalpindi District Health CEO Dr Mohammad Sohail Chaudary said on Sunday.

He added that the Punjab government has already spent Rs200 million on the project, of a total cost of Rs656.3m.

He said the hospital would include 11 departments, including an emergency department, a surgery department and in and outpatient departments.

It is being constructed on 55 kanals allotted by the provincial government on the G.T. Road.
