KHUZDAR: Activists and students of the Baloch Student Organisation (BSO-Pujar) took out a procession on Wednesday in protest against the alleged torture of students of Balo-chistan studying at the Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad.

The BSO activists, carrying placards and banners, marched on the main roads of Khuzdar. They raised slogans against Islamabad administration and police.

The participants gathered at the Khuzdar Press Club where leaders of the BSO and the National Party — Nadir Baloch, Abdul Wahab Ghulamani, Akram Baloch and Nasir Baloch — condemned the Islamabad police for torturing, beating and arresting Baloch and Pashtoon students who were protesting for their legitimate demands.

The students had the right to protest, they said and demanded of the federal government to take strict action against the officials involved in the torture of students.

They also demanded immediate release of the arrested students along with the acceptance of their demands.
