Thirty-five people were injured in two grenade attacks in Mastung and Gwadar in Balochistan on Thursday evening.

Men on a motorcycle hurled a grenade near a mobile market at Safar Khan Chowk in Mastung, injuring 15 people, police inspector Abdul Quddus told DawnNews. The injured have been shifted to District Headquarters (DHQ) Hospital Mastung.

Police have cordoned off the area and are conducting a search operation, DawnNews reported.

Chief Minister Balochistan Sanaullah Zehri has condemned the incident and asked the authorities to submit a report on the blast.

20 injured in Gwadar

Later in the evening, 20 people were injured when miscreants lobbed a grenade at Al-Zubair hotel on airport road, Gwadar.

Most of the injured were labourers from Sindh who were having their dinner when the attack took place. The assailants sped away on their motorcycles, police sources said.

The injured have been shifted to DHQ Gwadar.
