Sialkot tragedy accused jailed

SIALKOT, Aug 22: On the orders of the special anti-terrorism court, Gujranwala, Sialkot district jail’s suspended head warden Riasat Ali, warden Abdul Aziz and accused Shahid alias Kalu were jailed on Friday.

Sources said the accused had supplied firearms to the prisoners-cum-captors at the Sialkot jail.

ELECTROCUTED: Three women were electrocuted and killed at two villages here on Friday.

Bashiran Bibi and her daughter Saima suffered shocks from a pedestal fan and died instantly at Bathanwala village, Shakargarh tehsil.

At Baddomalhi village, an old woman died after receiving severe shock. — Correspondent
