PESHAWAR: Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf leader Shah Farman has said seat adjustment with its coalition partner, Jamaat-i-Islami in the next general elections is under consideration.

Speaking at a press conference here on Tuesday, he said Jamiat Ulema-i-Islam-Sami (JUI-S) had withdrawn its candidate in favour of PTI’s in the NA-4 by-poll to be held on Oct 26. He said PTI and JI would discuss seat adjustment after the by-poll.

JUI-S central information secretary Maulana Yousaf Shah, who was also present, said his party would support PTI candidate in the Peshawar’s by-poll.

Mr Farman, who also holds the portfolio of information minister, said PTI had prepared the education curriculum in line with the Islamic values. He said through a comprehensive programme the students of madressahs would get equal job opportunities.

He said the PTI had spent Rs30 million for upgrading madressah curriculum and subjects like mathematics and English had been included in the curriculum.
