Karachi colleges

Published September 23, 2017

APROPOS the poor condition of government colleges in Karachi. The Sindh chief minister shows great interest in education though the education department’s performance is poor. For example, the Government Degree Science and Commerce College (Boys and Girls), Gulshan-i-Iqbal, Block 7, does not have furniture and as such newcomers have to sit on the floor, while electricity has been disconnected for non-payment of bills and there is also an acute shortage of teachers, etc.

A number of other government colleges in Karachi also face huge problems. I hope the chief minister would look into the problem.
