TAXILA: The Pakistan Air Force (PAF) on Monday installed a fighter trainer aircraft, FT-5, at a park in recognition of the services of Capt Asfandyar Bokhari for the nation and the PAF on his second martyrdom anniversary.

Capt Asfandyar, who was decorated with the Sword of Honour after successfully completing his training at the Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul, had led the Quick Response Force (QRF) which had been called to foil the attack of Tehreek-i-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) terrorists at the PAF camp in 2015.

Forty-two people, including 13 terrorists, were killed in the TTP attack.

The Chinese-made Shenyang FT-5, a retired Fighter Trainer, was installed at the park which was already named after the slain army officer.
