Zain, Saim crowned champions

KARACHI: Mohammad Zain defeated Hassan Jamal 8-2 in the final to annexed the under-nine title to his name at the 51st Sindh Sports Board Development Series Tennis Championship here at the Union Club Friday.

In the under-13 singles final, Saim Danish defeated Zain Mohammad Ali 6-3, 6-4 while Mazhar Hayat thrashed Arham 6-3, 6-1 in a semi-final of the under-17 singles.

In soft tennis first-round matches, Eibad Sarwar Hussain Khan defeated Syeda Eraj Batool Zaidi 5-2; Suhaib thrashed Tahreem Yousuf 5-0; Osama Saeed trounced Saim Danish 5-0 and Saad M Ali defeated Hania Navid 5-2.
